Summer is still lingering on here in Stockholm. Whilst there is a definite nip in the air, especially at night, the days are still filled with sunshine and warmth... my usual topic of conversation revolves around how crap Sweden's summer is but now I've got nothing to say.
We have been having a wonderful, wonderful summer! It's been so much fun and here are my top 10 reasons why I am loving Summer in Sweden!
One of my most favourite places in Stockholm is the most wonderful Modern Museum. Situated on the easily accessable little island of Skeppsholmen, it houses some of the world's finest collections of modern art. It also houses what I consider to be, Stockholm's best brunch. No wonder I like it there.
Complete with it’s own castle and lake, Tyresö park made the perfect choice for our Extreme Swedish Midsummer celebrations. Everyone else in Stockholm thought so too, so the park was packed with thousands and thousands.
Then I whipped his butt in Scrabble. O.K, I didn’t exactly whip his butt as it was a fairly even match but I did win and that’s my point. We played our usual house rules - we play in both Swedish and English with double points for rude words.
But these thoughts were all in a split second and soon my mind was onto other more important things then Grade 2 storm warnings, like boiling water to make a cup of tea.
