Silence

Silence has been my friend as of last week and this. TSH has taken the girls up to the north of Sweden to visit the family and pick wild strawberries for a total of two weeks, whilst I’ve stayed in Stockholm working – but I made the trip up to visit them over the weekend.

Now I’m back and the house is again quite. Very quite. Very, very quite. I have been enjoying the silence,the stillness, the fresh air that fills the room when I leave the balcony door open. I don’t have to worry about climbing children and balconies for the rest of the whole week! God bless TSH and grandparents!

My kids are here. I am not.

With the family up north I’ve been about to let loose and do what I want. I can watch what I want on TV which, I can tell you, has not been anything with illustrations or puppets. I can eat a full meal without disturbance and it usually does not contain vegetables. I can leave the balcony door gleefully open. I can play my music as loud as I want, so I’ve been pumping out Baroque trumpet music with abandon! Life is good!  My Seraphim is Bright, thank you Handel! It’s crazy town I  tell you.

These are the wild strawberries that they will be picking. Whilst I am sitting at home drinking a cup of tea.

Fancy them apples? I do. As long as there is a 600 km difference between my kids and myself.
