Snapshot

Well this week has been all about the sniffles 😦 Bubba and The Flash came down with colds and since Monday we have been all been house bound.
Keeping a 2 year old + 7 month old entertained within the confines of our apartment has been busy work.We have watched far too much TV and eaten far too many fish fingers.
A snapshot of our week would look like this: I’ve been a court jester, dance leader, cubby house architect, nose wiping play-doh making marching band conducting, google searching ‘best Apps for toddlers’ Vicks rubbing winner of our funny faces competition. I’m buggered. They are not.
Luckily, my beloved mother-in-law is about to work in the door. Due to arrive Friday mid-morning, she’s travelling by plane just to visit and spread her love. And we love it, because it means that TSH and myself are dashing off on Saturday night to SMAK, one of my most favourite Stockholm restaurants and then spending the night in a hotel. Yes, you read that correct. A night in a hotel. HELLO SLEEP! One whole night of uninterrupted sleep and then a hotel breakfast. Lou Lou is gonna Love it. And if Lou Lou gets sick beforehand, Lou Lou is going to crack it big time.
Will your weekend include a child-free splash up meal with champagne followed by a night in a hotel with a big fluffy bed and someone else to clean up? or will you just be slacking it on the couch?
Couch all the way!!!
Doesn’t sound so bad actually!
Sorry both kiddos were sick! DIY trumpets, keyboard, and guitar? Fabulously creative!! Enjoy your perfect weekend. Go if you’re sick anyways!
Oh rain, hail, shine, I am absolutely going!
Whah! Poor kids but lucky you to have such a wonderful mother-in-law. We’re off camping in Fingal Bay for the week. Have a great night at SMAK and enjoy your much deserved sleep!
I googled Fingal Bay it looks amazing! Camping. Well I have very specific rules if a camping trip will be considered, nothing too rustic for me, – quelle surprise.
Love reading your adventures in motherhood. What a lovely M-i-L you have. Enjoy the hotel! K XXXX
I am counting the hours…
I’m behind in my blog reading so you’ll have already done this now. I hope you had a lovely time and weren’t sick!
xx
Made it through and pushed the cold back to now… we had a great time.
