I didn’t start 2013 out with too many resolutions apart from a) eat more dumplings, b) wear more yellow. So far, I’ve had a cracker of a year!!

Glazed ham, sausages, meatballs, red cabbage, herring, herring and herring are all washed down with a gift from St Schnapps – patron saint of the drunken bastard.
But these thoughts were all in a split second and soon my mind was onto other more important things then Grade 2 storm warnings, like boiling water to make a cup of tea.
So just why do I love Xmas so much? Of course there is the spirit of giving, spending time with family and friends, enjoying long held traditions and that bit about Jesus being born, but I much prefer the spending of money and the eating of sugar

I need to work on my work/life balance and considering I don't work, I should have more balance. Am I trying to keep my good housewife standards too high? When you read about ‘busy’ mums they always say that you need to ignore your messy house and to lower your expectations.
Well although I've got a thing for spring, autumn is my favourite season. So I am delighted to say that this week in Sweden, it's officially arrived and thus time to pull out your uggs. It's a beautiful time in Sweden where the temperature drops, but not far enough for me to complain.

And speaking of births, for some reason - me being God’s favourite - the birth story of my dreams came absolutely true. I don’t know how this happened, as all signs pointed to the opposite being the case, but it totally happened.
Our long awaited daughter arrived last week! A 4kg/8.8pounds, 52cm/21in bundle of complete joy.
I’m glad to report that the delivery was actually much like the one in my dreams! Bubba just loves her and is enjoying being a big sister. We are all doing well and are feeling very blessed.
I’ll be taking 2 or 3 weeks off from my blogging life to focus on my family and our new precious addition. Hope you all understand and stick around to hear about our new adventures soon…
