Friday Sorbet

“Every thought is a seed. If you plant crab apples, don’t count on harvesting Golden Delicious.”

How did the weekend rock around so fast? This week has flown by, literally actually. I flew to Warsaw for work, just over the day, as you do. One minute it was Monday, the next nearly Friday! Best to stop and take a quick look at the week gone by with some sweet things for the soul but not for your mouth as this is Fructober don’t forget!
This made me laugh.
This made me cry.
This made me laugh again. Aussie brilliance.
This is a question every ‘mummy’ blogger needs to ask themselves.
This made me wish I hadn’t given up sugar this month.
I agreed with everything this man had to say. Which then reminded me of my own love of passive aggressive notes.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend full of Golden Delicious thoughts. And Happy Father’s Day, if you happen to be a man and Swedish.
Thanks again for linking up a post of mine! I’m so honored! I LOVE that “honest slogans” post. Sooooo true!!!! And that video got me all teary eyed too though read my friend’s perspective on the video. It made me re-think my initial reaction to the video. http://mommyproof.com/i-am-a-good-mom/
Read the blog post, a good idea to drop the mummy guilt and stop comparing!
Ohhh, we have a bumper crop of apples and I’m not giving up sugar (ever!), so I feel that there will be an apple slab pie for fika tomorrow.
I cracked up at the laundry thing as well. I had a similar reaction to you initially, thinking how unbelievably and bluntly rude people were being. It was like I’d say to someone in Adelaide that I couldn’t come to dinner because I preferred to watch the paint dry or the lawn grow. You must take a look at David Batra’s book “Den som inte tar bort luddet ska dö!” – a bit like the arga lappen site in book form. I bought that book (and Henrik Lange’s ” 80 romaner för dig som har bråttom”) at the airport when I was going on a business trip and nearly had a heart attack laughing on the plane.
Oh I really want David Batra’s book, I know I will love it! Maybe I need to ask Santa for it!
I’m finally catching up with blog reading and am disappointed it’s SUnday afternoon already. Thank god I only have one more week of full-time work! 😉
ooooch, full time work, ahhh, that reminds me it’s Monday tomorrow..
As soon as I saw that recipe on Smitten Kitchen I knew I needed to give making it a try. It looks delicious! Gah… I figure, it’s healthier to make my own desserts than getting ready made/store bought ones, right?
Absolutely! home made is always best!
